ArtsAbroad is an organization based in Virginia that provides
international summer programs and tours in Music, Art, Design, Dance and
Acting/Theatre at high-quality schools and camps in Europe and the
Caribbean. Students ages 14-19 are welcome. Learn more at

Programs
Altos de Chavón School of Design in the Dominican Republic
Spend the summer making art at a medieval village in the Caribbean! Open
to any student aged 16 or older with a serious interest in drawing,
painting, graphic design, fashion design, or photography. This college
of art and design is an affiliate of Parsons The New School for Design,
and provides the highest quality in instruction by distinguished
professionals. Cultural activities and a weekend at a luxury beach
resort is included.
Art, Music, or Theatre + Italian Language in Florence, Italy
Spend two weeks in one of Europe’s most artistic cities! Take daily
Italian language classes, and choose afternoon studies in art, music or
theatre. Private instrumental or voice lessons or art classes are
taught by renowned Florence professionals. Visits to Florence’s
beautiful galleries, churches and tourist sights are included. An
excursion to romantic Verona provides a night in an ancient Roman
coliseum at international opera festival. Open to high school students
and recent graduates aged 15 or older.
Dance in Cannes, France
Visit the glamorous and scenic French Riviera for an intensive workshop
at one of Europe’s most prestigious dance schools. Choose from ballet,
modern, and jazz dance classes with students from around the world. Free
time will be spent visiting world-class shops and the beautiful beaches
and coastlines. Open to dancers at all levels, ages 14 and older.
International Band and Orchestra Camp + Prague Tour
Visit the fairy-tale city of Prague, with castles, cathedrals, and
musical museums. Attend professional orchestra concerts in majestic
halls. Spend 10 days at Fine Arts Camp Europe in a small Czech village,
playing in ensembles with students from around the world. Rehearsals and
lessons each day, with concerts, campfires and talent shows in the
evenings. Open to any high school band or orchestra student aged 14 and
older.
Theatre in London
Ten days and a whirlwind of professional theatre! Attend five acting
and musical theatre workshops, including a session and tour of the Globe
Theatre. Participate in a mock audition workshop with a West End casting
director. Get behind the scenes on backstage tours, and then attend
four of London’s most popular plays and musicals. Visits to London’s
attractions, Shakespeare’s birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon, and the
Harry Potter film sights in Oxford is included. Open to any high
school student or recent graduate aged 15 or older. |
